Weddings in India are a grand affair with about 10 million weddings celebrated in the country, every year! Typical Hindu families spend significant effort and financial resources to prepare and celebrate weddings. Several days of festivities and traditional functions culminate on the final day with the wedding ceremony, which usually consists of these three rituals – Kanyadaan, Panigrahana, and Saptapadi. These respectively mean, giving the daughter away; holding hands to signify the sacred union; and the seven steps representing the seven vows the couple makes to each other.
Going to a wedding is a unique and beautiful way to immerse yourself in the Indian culture and way of life. It is a life-changing event that will promote you from being just another tourist to becoming a local for a day.

Spend your day taking a rickshaw ride through the lanes of Old Delhi. Drive past the opulent Red Fort and catch a glimpse of the famed Jama Masjid. Later, explore New Delhi and visit Humayun’s Tomb.
Drive to Agra, an approximately 4.5-hour drive. In the afternoon, visit the Agra Fort, where you are taken through the chambers of this royal residence. This is one of the finest forts built by the Mughals in India.
Start your day by visiting the monument of love, Taj Mahal, the mausoleum built by emperor Shah Jahan for his favourite wife, Mumtaz. Later, drive to Jaipur, an approximately 6-hour drive
Attend the pre-wedding ceremonies that start with "Mehendi" – where the bride and women get traditional body art painted on their hands and feet; followed by "Sangeet", where the entire wedding party comes together to dance, often in pre-choreographed numbers, usually followed by a night of thumping Bollywood numbers.
After breakfast, proceed for a half-day excursion of the inspiring Amer Fort. In the evening, wear traditional Indian attire and attend the grand Indian wedding, which comprises of several fascinating rituals.

The journeys are planned well in advance. We reserve the right to modify itineraries, substitute accommodations, including flights and trains, at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond our control such as
'force majeure' events - flood, fire, act of God, war or threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activities, strikes, airport closure, technical problems with transport, alteration or cancellation of scheduled travel services. Most of the changes will be minor and we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date but occasionally there could be a major change closer to the departure date.
We also reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements. For example, if the minimum number of guests required for a particular travel arrangement is not reached, we may have to cancel it.
In both conditions of change / cancellation, you will have the choice of either accepting the change of arrangements or cancelling your booked holiday and receiving a full refund deducting the taxes except where the major change/cancellation arises due to reasons of force majeure. In case of force majeure, we will refund you for all unutilised services after deducting taxes.
